HISTORY
Founded in 2006 by Robbie Collie and his wife Rita, Freedom Farm Ministries was a direct result of a life and heart changed by the peace of being released from addiction.
As admissions director at another Christian ministry, Robbie became aware that many men relapsed or died waiting for an opening in a recovery program. He then took it upon himself to start a year-long program where guests were able to be successfully reoriented to the world of work, family responsibilities and life in general.
In September 2006, Freedom Farm Ministries began with three men in a renovated double-wide trailer. Now, Freedom Farm houses up to 45 guests in six locations with three unique program phases. Freedom Farm is a non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry serving people by helping them grow in a life centered in Jesus Christ. Hundreds have already received that new life, and many have renewed health, renewed reputations and been reunited with family. Most importantly, they have gained a new or restored faith through repentance and belief in our savior Jesus Christ.
Robbie died unexpectedly in 2018. His legacy of faith lives on every single day as more and more guests are freed from addiction through the ministry that he began.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
Freedom Farm Ministries bases its ministry on the following statement of faith:
WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, authoritative written Word of God. “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:15-17
WE BELIEVE in one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ is God, with the Father and the Holy Spirit. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.” John 1:1-3
WE BELIEVE all people are born lost in sin. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
WE BELIEVE God has provided salvation from sin through the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ for all who believe. “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.” Ephesians 1:7
WE BELIEVE forgiveness of sin and eternal salvation must be received by repentance and faith. “And Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” Acts 2:38
WE BELIEVE there is no salvation apart from Jesus Christ. “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
WE BELIEVE the Holy Spirit lives in every believer. “However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.” Romans 8:9
WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment. “And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matthew 25:46
KNOWING GOD
Would you like to know how you can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?
God offers you the incredible gift of eternal life through His son, Jesus Christ.
The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
But thank God, our restoration to the family of God is through faith in His son, Jesus Christ, as we read John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life.”
All you must do to receive this free gift from God is to:
1.) Believe it in your heart and
2.) Confess it with your mouth.
If you would like to ask Jesus into your heart, pray this simple prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I know that I am a sinner and according to your Word, the Bible,
I have fallen short of your Glory. But I thank you that you provided
a Savior in your own Son, Jesus Christ.
I believe that Jesus died for my sins and that God raised Him from the dead.
I ask you, Jesus, to come into my heart and save me. Forgive me of all my sins
and make me new in you. Help me to live for you. I give my life to you now.
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
